Apple’s new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini will reportedly ship on Friday, October 30. The date comes from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, via MacRumors. Per MacRumors, Gurman’s Power On newsletter says both devices will reach customers and arrive in stores that same day.

That would put the new hardware in stores 17 days after Apple’s Welcome Home event. According to The Verge, the event kicks off in New York on Tuesday, October 13, at 9 a.m. ET. Apple has confirmed the event date, but it hasn’t said which products it will show.
Why the October 30 ship date is still a rumor
For now, this is a single-source report. Gurman’s newsletter is the only origin for the October 30 date, and Apple won’t confirm anything before October 13. As of October 11, Apple’s own Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini pages still list only the current models.

A reported ship date can still move between now and launch. Treat October 30 as reported, not locked, until Apple names a date on stage.
What’s changing on the Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini
Not much on the outside, if early reports hold. The Verge, citing unnamed sources, says “The designs will remain the same, but they’ll get a new processor to help handle the added demand of Siri AI.”
No price has been reported for either device. We won’t guess one here, and it’s worth waiting for Apple’s numbers before deciding whether an upgrade makes sense. An earlier backend leak pointed to the same two products.
The smart home hub comes later
Gurman’s September report named three products for October 13: a smart home hub, a new HomePod mini and a new Apple TV. We covered that lineup report at the time.
The hub reportedly won’t ship alongside the other two. MacRumors, citing Gurman’s sources, says it will arrive around mid-November, at least as of now. Our earlier piece on the hub’s rumored colors has more on what to expect.
Should you wait to buy?
With the event two days away, holding off on a current Apple TV 4K or HomePod mini is the low-risk move. If the October 30 date holds, the wait for new hardware is under three weeks. Pricing is the open question that should decide whether the refresh is worth it.
