Xiaomi surprised the tech world by announcing a borderless / edgeless smartphone Mi Mix. Xiaomi moved one step further by making it available to public with a price tag though in limited quantities. Mi Mix sports a 6.4 inch edgeless display with 91.3% screen-to-body ratio and is powered by 2.35 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with 4 GB / 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB/256GB storage with MIUI 8 operating system. Apart from Xiaomi, we have also heard rumors that Meizu is also working on similar edgeless devices.
Even Huawei Honor was rumored to be working on a concept phone with four sided curved display. Today, Honor has just confirmed these rumors and have scheduled an official launch event on December 16 to launch a new smartphone “Honor Magic”. The official weibo handle of Honor (1, 2) has just released a teaser which indicates that the new phone is “Honor Magic” .
Earlier rumors indicate that this concept phone may come with four-sided curved display unlike the dual curved display. Four sided curved display indicate too high body to screen ratio close to 100% (which appears too good to be true at the moment) and no bezels even at the bottom of the front display.
At the moment, we have no more information about the possible hardware specifications of the Honor Magic. Stay tuned and we will keep you updated.
