In last few weeks, we have seen numerous leaks around Xiaomi upcoming budget entry-level smartphone Redmi 4. The leaks included Real images of the device which suggest that Xiaomi Redmi 4 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 and 2 GB of RAM. This was followed by a listing on Chinese certification agency TENAA revealing all the technical specifications of the device including the render images.

Today, Androidpure has spotted a rumor on Chinese social network Weibo which indicates that Xiaomi Redmi 4 may launch on November 4. The rumor doesn’t talk about any launch event though or any invite teaser, so we have no way to check how correct or credible this launch date is. These devices were rumored to be launched on August 4, but that didn’t happen and now we have a new rumored launch date of November 4. Two variants of Redmi 4 are rumored to be in works, with the other variant named as Redmi 4A, possibly for the Chinese market with China specific network bands.

As per TENAA, Redmi 4 sports a 5 inch 720 HD TFT display, powered by a 1.4 GHz octa-core processor with 2 GB of RAM. It comes with 32 GB of internal storage along with support for expandable storage via microsd card and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based operating system with MIUI on top.

It features a 13 MP main rear camera and a 5 MP front shooter for selfies. It is backed by a 4000 mAh battery. In terms of dimensions, it measures 141.3 × 69.6 × 8.9 (mm) and weighs 153 grams. A fingerprint sensor is located at the back panel just below the main camera.

Update:

We now have a teaser image which confirms the Redmi 4 launch date of 4th November.
