Xiaomi has launched two new Android tablets in China, led by the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro. It pairs a 12.5-inch 144Hz LCD with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and an 11,000mAh battery, starting at CNY 3,799 (about $565). A standard Xiaomi Pad 9 arrives alongside it at CNY 2,999 (about $450).
Pricing and availability
Both tablets have been announced for China. As of 24 September 2026, no availability outside China has been announced.
- Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro: CNY 3,799 (roughly $565) for the base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration.
- Xiaomi Pad 9: CNY 2,999 (roughly $450) for the base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration.
Colour choices on the new tablets include Black, Silver and Spruce Green.
Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro specifications
The Pro is the one built for heavier work. It gets the larger panel, the faster chip, the better cameras and considerably quicker charging.

A three-tier tablet lineup
These two slot in below the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max, the 13.3-inch model running Xiaomi’s own Xring O3 silicon. That gives Xiaomi three distinct tablet tiers rather than a single flagship.
Between the Pad 9 and the Pad 9 Pro, the differences come down to chipset, cameras and charging speed. Both use a 3.2K 144Hz LCD, so screen size rather than screen quality separates them.
