Xiaomi Mi TV 5X series launched in India

Xiaomi has announced three new smart televisions in India. This is what the Xiaomi Mi TV 5X looks like.

Xiaomi Mi TV 5X

Display and Operating System

The Xiaomi Mi TV 5X series comprises three TVs with a 43-inches model, a 50-inches version and a 55-inches variant. All three sets support 4K screen resolution, Dolby Vision  and HDR 10+. The TVs have minimal bezels and a 96.6% screen-to-body ratio. The televisions run on Android TV 10 with PatchWall 4 OS. Software-wise, the TVs support Ok Google, Chromecast built-in, Play Store, IMDb Integration, Universal Search, Kids Mode with Parental Lock, Language Universe, 75 + Free LIVE channels,  and Mi Home

Processor, RAM and Storage

Xiaomi has not mentioned the name of the processor on the TVs, all we know is that it is a Quad core A55 CPU, with a Mali G52 MP2 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage

Video and Audio

The Mi TV 5X supports  ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode),  Vivid Picture Engine 2 with Adaptive Brightness, HDR10+, AV1, H.265, H.264, H.263, VP8/VP9/VC1, and MPEG1/2/4 video formats. In the audio department, the Mi TV 5X has 30W speakers on the 43-inch variant, 40W Speakers on 50″ and 55″ models. The televisions have 2 speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Far-Field Mics, HDMI 2.1 | eARC port, and supports Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD, FLAC, AAC, AC4, OGG & ADPCM audio formats.

Ports and Connectivity

The smart TV supports Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 2.4GHz/5GHz 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2×2 MIMO), has an Ethernet Port, 2 x USB ports, 3 x HDMI 2.1 ports, an AV port, and an Optical port.

Remote Control Shortcuts

The remote supports Quick Mute, you need to double tap the volume down key to mute the TV. Long pressing the Mi Button brings up the Quick Settings allowing you to manage the picture, sound and other settings. The Mi TV 5X supports Quick Wake and turns on the TV in less than 5 seconds, from sleep mode.

Xiaomi Mi TV 5X price in India

Xiaomi has priced the Mi TV 5X 43-inches model at Rs. 31,999, at Rs. 41,999 for the 50-inches model, and at Rs. 47,999 for the 55-inches model. The TVs will go on sale at 12PM on September 7th across Mi.com, Flipkart.com, Mi Home, Mi Studio and Croma.

Xiaomi is offering an instant discount of  up to Rs. 3,000 for purchases made with a HDFC Bank credit card or EasyEMI transaction.
