Xiaomi is making a global launch of its new smartphone (probably) in India on 23rd of April. The invites for the event are already sent out without mentioning what they will be launching. A teaser teased on MI Facebook India page said “i is coming” without any other detail. The latest report suggests that a new variant of Mi 4 will be launched on April 23 in India.

Xiaomi Mi 4i-

As per reports, a new mid range variant of Xiaomi Mi4 is spotted on the Singapore IDA database and GeekBench 3. This MI 4 variant is mentioned as Xiaomi Mi4i and may be lower end variant of the Mi 4, if we go by the hardware specifications spotted on Geekbench 3.

Xiaomi Mi 4i

As per GeekBench 3 data, this Mi 4i is sports a 4.9-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.65 GHz Snapdragon 615 octa-core 64-bit processor supported by 2GB of RAM running Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. In terms of camera, it will come with a 13-megapixel primary camera and 5-megapixel front one. These specs appear similar to the previously leaked Xiaomi device “Ferrari“.
