Vivo has quietly raised the price of the X300 FE in India for the second time since its May launch, pushing the base 12GB + 256GB variant to Rs 89,999 on Flipkart and Vivo’s own website — Rs 10,000 more than the Rs 79,999 launch price, with no change in hardware or specifications.
The 12GB + 512GB model has climbed to Rs 99,999. Both figures reflect a Rs 3,000 increase over the first price hike in July, which had already taken the two variants to Rs 86,999 and Rs 96,999 respectively. At the time of reporting, Amazon still lists the older July prices for both variants.

Meanwhile, Vivo is reportedly adding a new 8GB + 256GB variant at Rs 84,999, which would become the cheapest entry point into the X300 FE range — but still Rs 5,000 above what the better-specced 12GB model cost at launch.
What You Get (and What Has Not Changed)
The X300 FE remains an objectively capable phone: a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, a 6,500 mAh battery with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging, and a Zeiss-branded camera system. None of that has changed between the three price points — which is exactly the problem.
Stealth price increases with no corresponding hardware improvement are a pattern in the Indian smartphone market, often attributed to rising component costs or currency fluctuation. But a 12.5 percent cumulative increase over three months, spread across two separate hikes with no public announcement, is unusually aggressive. Buyers who waited even a few weeks after launch paid significantly more for the identical product.
The Bigger Picture for Vivo’s India Lineup
The regular Vivo X300, which launched at Rs 75,999 in December, has effectively disappeared from Indian retail. It has been out of stock on Flipkart, Amazon, and Vivo’s own site for weeks, with no indication of restocking. For practical purposes, it is discontinued, leaving the pricier X300 FE as the only option in Vivo’s compact flagship range.
The X300 Pro has taken a similar Rs 10,000 hike to Rs 1,19,999, which means Vivo no longer has any flagship offering in the sub-Rs 80,000 bracket where it launched just months ago.
