The vivo X Fold 6 is being tipped for a global launch on October 1, 2026. An India launch is said to follow on October 6 at 12 PM. Both dates come from tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd on X), and neither has been confirmed by vivo. Treat them as a leak until the company posts a teaser of its own.
What vivo has confirmed is that the phone is leaving China at all. In a statement given to Android Authority in June, the company said:
There will be a global launch of vivo X Fold 6. Detailed availability has yet to be officially confirmed.
That statement establishes intent and nothing more. vivo named no dates, no markets and no prices. The October 1 and October 6 dates rest entirely on the tipster’s claim, which several India outlets have repeated without adding sourcing of their own.
What the leak claims about the global model
According to the same tipster, the international X Fold 6 will arrive in 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB configurations. Two colours are expected: Prism Black and Nebula Teal. Both names differ from the China-market options, so they would be international-exclusive finishes if the leak holds.
The global unit is also said to ship on OriginOS 7 rather than the OriginOS 6 Fold build sold in China. There is at least some supporting evidence for that part. GSMArena spotted a global X Fold 6 prototype, model V2559, on Geekbench in September. That listing showed Android 17 with OriginOS 7, a Dimensity 9500 Super and 12GB of RAM. A benchmark entry is not a vivo confirmation, but it does line up with the software claim.
What vivo already sells in China
The X Fold 6 went official in China on June 26, 2026, so the hardware is already known. Pricing there starts at CNY 7,999 (about $1,175 converted) for the 12GB+256GB version. The top 16GB+1TB configuration costs CNY 11,999, or roughly $1,763.

The 7,000mAh silicon-carbon cell with 80W wired charging stands out most in that list. It is the spec buyers in other markets should watch for when the global sheet lands.
As of September 27, no official vivo teaser for a global or India launch has surfaced, and no pricing outside China has been announced. If the tipped schedule is accurate, that teaser should appear within days.
