Samsung has officially unveiled its flagship phone, the Galaxy S6, and the S6 Edge at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Samsung Galaxy S6

And here is all you need to know about the new devices.

The Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge are powered by a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 chipsets (Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.5Ghz processors), with 3G of LPDDR4 RAM and a Mali T760 GPU. The display is a 5.1″ Super AMOLED, Quad HD, which supports a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 577 ppi. The S6 Edge has a dual curved display, (i.e the display’s edges are curved).

The S6 and the S6 Edge come in three storage variants: 32, 64 and 128GB of Universal Flash Storage (UFS 2.0), and no expandable memory.

The phones come with a 16 Megapixel rear camera, and a 5 megapixel rear camera, with F1.9 lenses and high resolution sensors on both cameras. The cameras are capable of taking high quality images, even in the dark, and also support HDR, OIS and IR Detect White Balance. A new feature called “Quick Launch” gives access to the camera from any screen in just 0.7 seconds, this can be enabled by double pressing the home button twice. The home button also doubles up as a fingerprint scanner.

The S6 packs a 2,550mAh battery while the S6 Edge has a 2,600mAh battery. Both are a non-removable, and are capable of WPC and PMA technology wireless charging. The phones also support quick wired charging, which is supposedly 1.5 times faster than the S5, and gives up to 4 hours of usage after only 10 minutes of charging. The S6 and S6 Edge support LTE Cat.6 networks with up to 300/50Mbps of download and upload speeds.
