The Redmi 17C 5G has landed in India at INR 20,999 for the 4GB/128GB model and INR 22,999 for the 6GB/128GB version. Sales start on October 7. That needs a correction from us. Our September 25 post said Indian retail pricing for the C-series typically settles well below INR 15,000. It does not here. Anyone who budgeted around that expectation should reset it by about INR 6,000.

Pricing and Availability
Both configurations ship with 128GB of storage, so RAM is the only difference between them. The prices below are as reported by GSMArena. We have not yet confirmed them against a second source, and Xiaomi’s own India product page was not reachable at the time of writing.
- 4GB + 128GB: INR 20,999 (about $218)
- 6GB + 128GB: INR 22,999 (about $238)
The phone goes on sale in India from October 7, 2026, in Coffee Brew, Purple Dawn and Dark Night.
What That Price Buys
At INR 20,999 the 17C is no longer competing with entry-level phones. It is up against the lower end of the mid-range, where a 720×1600 LCD is a harder sell. The 120Hz refresh rate helps the panel feel quicker than its resolution suggests. It is still a low-resolution screen at a price where sharper options exist.
The 6,000mAh battery and the Dimensity 6300 are the parts that hold up best at this price. The base 4GB of RAM is the part that does not. Paying the extra INR 2,000 for the 6GB model is the sensible move if you plan to keep the phone for a few years.
The wider backdrop is worth noting too. Memory is currently the component driving a 27.6% rise in smartphone prices across 2026. We cannot say how much of the 17C’s price reflects that, but it is the market this phone launches into.
