Details about the next mid-range device from Redmi have surfaced online courtesy a Singaporean retailer, Courts. A few listings, which have since been taken down have revealed the Redmi 10 specs and design.
Redmi 10 display, processor and OS
The front panel on the Redmi 10 is nothing to write home about, it has a large 6.5-inches Full HD+ display that supports 90Hz refresh rate. It remains unclear whether it uses an AMOLED panel like the Redmi Note 10 series. The Redmi 10 has a similar hole-punch at the top center of the screen for the 8MP selfie camera.
The processor powering the device is an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88, while the graphics are handled by an Arm Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. The Redmi 10 has up to 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 11.
Redmi 10 cameras
The main camera setup on the Redmi 10’s rear looks similar to higher end models with an oblong bump to house the quad lens array. The primary camera with a metal highlight around it, is a whopping 50MP sensor. It is assisted by an 8MP lens likely an ultra-wide angle shooter, and two 2 megapixels modules for depth and portrait photography, along with a circular LED Flash. The rear panel reportedly has a polycarbonate material with a glossy finish.
Redmi 10 battery and connectivity
The Redmi 10 is backed by a 5000 mAh battery that supports 18W Fast Charging. The phone measures 162 x 75.3 x 8.95mm, and will be available in 3 colourways: Pebble White, Carbon Grey and Sea Blue. In the connectivity department, the phone supports Dual SIM cards with 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
