Realme X and Realme X Lite mid-range phones launched in China

The Realme X and Realme X Lite mid-range phones have been launched in China. Here’s everything you need to know about the devices.

The Realme X sports a 6.53-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and features an In-display fingerprint scanner. The phone has a notch-less design which (we saw in a previous leak) gives it a 91.2% screen to body ratio.

The device runs on Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa core processor and will be available with 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM with 64GB/128GB of storage. The phone has a a 3.5mm headphone jack. A 3765mAh battery backs the device, and supports 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging over a USB Type-C port.

In the optics department, the Realme X is equipped with dual rear cameras comprising of a 48MP primary lens with a Sony IMX586 sensor, an f/1.7 aperture and electronic image stabilization support, and a 5MP secondary camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The pop-up selfie lens on the device is a 16MP Sony IMX471 camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

Realme X Lite

The Realme X Lite sports a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and has a 90.8% screen to body ratio. The device has a waterdrop notch, which houses the 25MP selfie camera.

The X Lite also runs on ColorOS 6.0 with Android 9 Pie and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa core processor with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage.

The Realme X Lite sadly has a micro-USB port, which supports 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging for the 4045mAh battery. On the bright side, the device has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Another change in the Lite version is that it features a Fingerprint scanner on the back panel. The primary camera on the phone is a 16MP Sony IMX519 sensor with an, f/1.7 aperture, 1.22μm pixel size, that supports Electronic Image Stabilization, and a 5MP secondary lens.

The Realme X price starts at RMB 1499 in China for the 4GB RAM variant, while the 6GB model will cost RMB 1599 and the 8GB RAM version will retail for RMB 1799. The phone will be available in Steam White and Punk Blue colours.

The Realme X Lite price begins at RMB 1199 for the 4GB version, while the 6GB variant with 64GB storage carries a price tag of RMB 1299, and the 6GB/128GB model will cost RMB 1499. The phone will be in Electro-Optic Violet and Nitrogen Blue colours.
