Pixel 11 UK Prices Leak, and Two Models Actually Dip Slightly

Pixel 11 pricing for the UK has leaked ahead of Google’s 12 August launch, and the numbers complicate the simple “Pixel 11 costs more” story. Roland Quandt — the WinFuture journalist whose retailer leaks are usually accurate — posted UK prices and battery capacities for all three models on Bluesky on 28 July, and on a like-for-like storage basis two of the three are slightly cheaper than their Pixel 10 equivalents. Treat this as a leak, not a Google announcement.

Pixel 11 UK prices, as leaked

Quandt’s post lists three prices, all for 256GB configurations. His exact wording was:

Pixel 11 256GB = 879 GBP, 4985mAh
Pixel 11 Pro 256 GB = 1079 GBP, 4850mAh
Pixel 11 Pro XL 257 GB = 1279 GBP, 5115mAh

  • Pixel 11 (256GB) — £879, versus £899 for the 256GB Pixel 10
  • Pixel 11 Pro (256GB) — £1,079, versus £1,099 for the 256GB Pixel 10 Pro
  • Pixel 11 Pro XL (256GB) — £1,279, versus £1,199 for the Pixel 10 Pro XL

So: £20 off on the two smaller models, £80 on for the Pro XL. The other detail in the leak is that 256GB now appears to be the minimum storage across the range — the cheaper, smaller-capacity tier is gone.

Why “cheaper” is the wrong word for the Pixel 11

This is where the framing matters, and where a headline can mislead you into thinking Google blinked. Androidpure already covered Google confirming a Pixel 11 price increase, which the company attributed to unprecedented RAM costs. Nothing in this leak reverses that. What it shows is a narrower point: if you compare 256GB to 256GB, two models edge down by £20.

The catch is that most buyers were never comparing 256GB to 256GB. If the entry storage tier has been removed, the cheapest Pixel 11 you can buy is a more expensive phone than the cheapest Pixel 10 was, regardless of what the per-gigabyte maths says. A £20 cut on a tier that is now the only floor is not a discount; it is a smaller increase than it could have been, dressed as one. Buyers upgrading from a base-storage Pixel 10 should budget for the step up, not the £20.

Battery capacities in the leak

  • Pixel 11 — 4,985mAh, up on its predecessor
  • Pixel 11 Pro — 4,850mAh, slightly down from the Pixel 10 Pro’s 4,870mAh
  • Pixel 11 Pro XL — 5,115mAh, up on its predecessor

The Pro’s small dip is the odd one out, and if it holds it would be an unusual move in a year when almost every rival is pushing capacities up. As with the prices, this is a retailer-sourced figure and not confirmed by Google.

What is actually confirmed

Google has set the Pixel 11 launch for 12 August, and has publicly acknowledged that prices are rising because of memory costs. Everything else here — the UK figures, the storage floor, the battery capacities — comes from Quandt’s leak. We would expect the shape of it to hold, given his track record, but the specific numbers can move between a retailer’s system and a launch-day store page. Wait for the 12 August event before treating any of it as final.
