Carl Pei, the company’s CEO announced in a blog post today, that the ROM is now available for users ro download and install it on the One.
The philosophy behind the OS is to keep it light and essential, says OnePlus.
Here is a video which showcases the top features of OxygenOS:
Download OxygenOS from this page, the current build number is “OxygenOs 1.0.0.”. The zip file is 705MB to download.Word of warning, you will need to wipe the device to flash the ROM, which means you will lose all your data. So take a backup of the files before installing the OS.
You will need to flash a custom recovery like TWRP. Boot into the recovery, do a factory rest, and wipe the cache partition. Then go to install, and select the zip file and flash the ROM. Reboot the device, and you are good to go.
