Apple’s new Mac mini and Mac Studio go on sale in the US on September 22. The company’s own store now confirms the full price list for both machines. The Mac mini starts at $899. The Mac Studio starts at $2,499 — figures pulled directly from Apple’s checkout pages, not its marketing copy.

Mac Mini Pricing and Availability

Apple’s buy page for the Mac mini carries the line “Available starting 9.22,” confirming the September 22 US on-sale date. The base configuration, built around Apple’s new M6 chip, starts at $899. Higher-end M6 and M5 Pro configurations climb to $1,699 and $1,899.

  • Chip options: M6 (12-core CPU/GPU) or M5 Pro (up to 18-core CPU, 20-core GPU)
  • Memory and storage: configurations from 16GB/256GB up to 64GB/1TB
  • Starting price: $899

Apple hasn’t published which exact memory and storage tier pairs with which price on the checkout page. Treat $899 as the entry point, not a spec-matched figure, until you configure one yourself on Apple’s site.

Mac Studio Pricing and Availability

The Mac Studio also carries the “Available starting 9.22” line on Apple’s store. It starts at $2,499 and tops out at $6,799 for the most powerful build.

  • Chip options: M5 Max or M5 Ultra, Apple’s most powerful Apple silicon chip yet
  • Pricing tiers: $2,499 / $3,099 / $5,499 / $6,799
  • Positioning: aimed at video, 3D, and AI workloads rather than everyday desktop use

Apple announced the M5 Max and M5 Ultra Mac Studio back on August 25. It held actual availability until this week, giving reviewers time to publish first impressions ahead of launch day. The Verge’s early review notes that the redesigned Mac mini no longer plays Apple’s cheapest-entry-point role. Older models did. That’s a real consideration for anyone who remembers the Mac mini’s history as a budget pick. Buyers priced out at $899 should weigh that against a base MacBook Air, or a previous-generation Mac mini if one is still available secondhand.

Both machines are US-market listings in USD. Apple hasn’t published international pricing changes alongside this US launch.
