Here is some good news for many LG smartphone owners. Phonearena is reporting (thanks to an Anonymous Tipster) that LG is going to update many of its Android smartphones to Android 4.4 kitkat directly skipping the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

LG logoThe list of the LG Smartphone models that may be getting this Android 4.4 kitkat upgrade directly skipping right over Android 4.2 and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean are:

  •  LG Optimus F3,
  • LG Optimus F6,
  • LG G Pad 8.3 (including Verizon model),
  • LG G Pro Lite,
  • LG Optimus F7,
  • LG-D315 (unannounced),
  • LG LS740 (rumored to be the successor to the LG Optimus F3),
  • LG Optimus L9 II,
  • LG Optimus Vu II and
  • LG Vu III.

A note of caution though here as it is the case with any Anonymous Tip. Unless LG makes this announcement officially, it should be taken with a pinch of salt. We will update you as and when we hear something official from LG.
