iQOO 7 5G and iQOO 7 Legend 5G with Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 888 announced in India

The iQOO 7 5G and iQOO 7 Legend 5G have been announced in India, on schedule. The flagship phones have been priced aggressively, here’s everything you need to know about the phones.

The iQOO 7 is equipped with a dedicated display chip which powers the 6.62-inches Full HD+ AMOLED display. The screen has a 120Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits brightness, 20:9 aspect ratio, 91.4% screen-to-body ratio, and supports 6,00,000:1 Contrast Ratio, HDR10+, and 300Hz Touch Sampling Rate. The phone has an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The device runs on Funtouch OS 11.1 based on Android 11 and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G processor with an Adreno 650 GPU, and 8GB/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The iQOO 7 5G comes with 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and is backed by a 4,400 mAh battery that charges over a USB Type-C port and supports 66W FlashCharge  which can fast charge the device from 0-100% in 22 minutes.

The selfie lens on the phone is a 16MP f/2.0 aperture. The main cameras on the iQOO 7 5G comprises a 48MP Sony IMX 598 sensor with an f/1.79 aperture, Optical image stabilization, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture, a 13MP portrait sensor, that has an f/2.46 aperture and an LED Flash.

In terms of connectivity, the iQOO 7 supports 5G and 4G VoLTE mobile networks, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS.

The iQOO 7 Legend 5G shares the same display, cameras, storage with the standard version. The main difference is that the Legend edition is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G processor, and supports Bluetooth 5.2. The device has a 4,000mAh battery.

The iQOO 7 has been priced at Rs. 31,990 in India for the base variant with 8GB/128GB, while the 8GB/256GB version costs Rs. 33,990. The 12GB/256GB model costs Rs. 35,990. The iQOO 7 Legend price starts at Rs. 39,990 for the 8GB/128 version, while the 12GB/256 GB model costs Rs. 43,990.

The iQOO 7 comes in 2 colourways: Storm Black and Solid Ice Blue, while the iQOO 7 Legend ships in a Legend colour featuring the racing stripes of BMW M Motorsport.

Both phones will be available from May 1st on Amazon and iQOO.com. Buyers can avail an instant discount of Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 3,000 while purchasing the iQOO 7 or the iQOO 7 Legend respectively. The launch offer is only applicable for purchases made using an ICICI Bank Credit Card or EMI Transaction.
