Apple opens pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max today, September 12, at 5 a.m. PT. That is 5:30 p.m. IST and 1 p.m. UK time. Most of the world is waking up to the order window rather than staying up for it. Orders go live on apple.com and in the Apple Store app, with the phones shipping and reaching stores from Friday, September 18.
Apple confirmed the timing and the buying details in its own newsroom post. Alongside the pre-order date, it laid out a full rundown of trade-in credit, carrier offers, and financing that apply from day one.

iPhone 18 Pro Trade-In and Carrier Credit
Apple says customers trading in an iPhone 13 or newer can get instant credit of $175 to $885. That applies toward an iPhone 18 Pro or iPhone 18 Pro Max, and it stacks with Apple’s own financing options. Those include Apple Card Monthly Installments at 0 percent APR, plus the Apple Upgrade leasing plan run through Klarna. Apple Upgrade starts at $34.99 a month for a 24-month iPhone lease, before tax and trade-in credit.
The bigger number is on the carrier side. Apple’s release states that customers can get up to $1,200 in credit with select carriers when they trade in an iPhone 14 or newer in any condition. That deal is activated directly through AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon at Apple’s own stores and site. The $1,200 ceiling is well above the standard Apple Trade In program. It depends on the specific carrier plan a buyer picks, so the fine print on “any condition” trade-ins is worth checking first.
Finishes, Specs, and What Ships Alongside It
Both iPhone 18 Pro models come in four finishes: black, silver, glacier, and a new burgundy. Apple is also launching new Silicone Cases, TechWoven Cases, and Crossbody Straps alongside the phones. A new Wrist Strap clips onto the redesigned Clear Case, which is sold separately.
The iPhone 18 Pro launch isn’t happening in isolation. Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4, AirPods 5, Mac mini, and Mac Studio are already open for pre-order too. The Watch lineup and AirPods 5 ship worldwide on the same September 18 date as the iPhone. The new Mac mini and Mac Studio arrive a few days later, on September 22.
Buyers in the US who purchase an iPhone 18 Pro or Pro Max also qualify for three months of Apple One free. That covers up to six Apple services, including Apple Music, Apple TV, and up to 2TB of iCloud+ storage, for new or returning subscribers.
Androidpure has already covered the iPhone 18 Pro’s full specs and global pricing and its India pricing separately. Today’s news is about the buying mechanics, not the hardware itself. If you were planning to lock in a trade-in quote or financing pre-approval ahead of the order window, that prep deadline has already passed. Apple set the cutoff at 9 a.m. PT on September 11. Apple’s page notes this prep step only helps customers “bypass the morning rush.” Skipping it does not block a pre-order — it just means going through model selection and trade-in appraisal at checkout instead.
