Gmail for Android updated to Display Images by default

The Gmail app for Android has been updated with a slightly significant addition to it.

Gmail Android App

The app has got an option, which when enabled, can display all images in your emails.

Earlier you had to tap on the small “Show Images” button to display the pictures.

Google have announced that all images sent through Gmail will now safely be processed through their servers, so nothing malicious will get through. This is the reason why they used to block images by default earlier.

The option to “Always Show Images” can be enabled from the individual account settings in the Gmail app.
