Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 Leak: New Renders Surface Days Before Unpacked

The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 leak just took a big step toward reality. Today, July 20, 2026 — two days before Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event in London — leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) published a fresh batch of official-style Samsung marketing renders for the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 on his Substack newsletter, Leakmail. The headline here isn’t a brand-new spec sheet: most of these numbers first surfaced as rumors back in late June. What’s new is that they now appear in images that look exactly like real Samsung marketing material, landing right before the live reveal.

In other words, this is the point where the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2’s rumored specs graduate from “someone heard” to “seen in what looks like Samsung’s own promotional art.” Treat it as a leak until Samsung says otherwise on July 22 — but it’s a well-sourced one.

What the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 leak shows

According to Blass’s leaked renders, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 keeps the titanium case and the near-identical, rugged silhouette of the 2025 Galaxy Watch Ultra, with a few meaningful upgrades under the hood. The design changes are subtle: slightly thinner bezels, a body that’s roughly 12% thinner than the current model, and the same three-button layout on the right side, including the programmable Quick Button.

The bigger story is what’s inside. The battery reportedly jumps to 800mAh, up from 590mAh on the current Galaxy Watch Ultra — about a 35% increase, which should translate into meaningfully longer time between charges. Peak display brightness is said to climb to 5,000 nits, up from 3,000 nits, making the screen far easier to read in direct sunlight. Durability moves from IP68 to IP69K, adding resistance to high-pressure, high-temperature washdowns on top of the existing dust and water protection.

Powering it is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear Elite chip — the same silicon we covered in yesterday’s Galaxy Watch9 leak, so this is continuity across Samsung’s 2026 wearable lineup rather than a fresh surprise.

Colors and the specs at a glance

Two finishes appear in the leaked renders: a titanium look paired with an olive-green band, and an all-black colorway with a matching band. Samsung hasn’t confirmed any official color names, so treat these as what’s shown in the images rather than a finalized lineup.

Here’s the rumored spec picture, all of it unofficial until July 22:

  • Battery: 800mAh, up ~35% from 590mAh on the current model
  • Display brightness: up to 5,000 nits peak, versus 3,000 nits today
  • Thickness: roughly 12% thinner than the current Galaxy Watch Ultra
  • Durability: IP69K, up from IP68
  • Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear Elite
  • Build: titanium case, three side buttons including a programmable Quick Button
  • Colors (per leaked renders): titanium with olive-green band; all-black with matching band

When will it be official?

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 at Galaxy Unpacked on July 22, 2026, in London, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold8, Z Flip8, and Galaxy Watch9. Two things the leak notably does not include: pricing and confirmed color names. Both matter for a buying decision, and both should land at the live event — so if you’re weighing an upgrade, it’s worth holding off two days for the official numbers rather than committing on render-based specs alone. We’ll update once Samsung makes it official.
