Flipkart launches it’s own Android Tablet: Digiflip Pro XT 712

Flipkart has launched it’s own Android tablet, the Digiflip Pro XT 712, today.

This is the online retailer’s first foray in the world of electronics.

Prior to this, they were selling various computer accessories under the brand name Digiflip Pro. The tablet features a 7″ HD IPS Display with a resolution of 1280 x 800. It will run on a a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, backed by 1 GB RAM, while the graphics will be handled by a Mali-400 GPU. The tablet comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded uo to 32 GB, via a microSD card slot.

The  Digiflip Pro XT 712 sports a 5 Megapixel Snapper on the back, with LED flash, Auto-Focus, and supports full HD video recording at 1920 x 1080p. There is a 2 Megapixel camera on the front of the device. The tablet also supports Voice Calling, Dual Standby SIM (3G + 3G), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The tablet will ship with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, and packs a 3000 mAh battery. It will also support USB OTG (On the Go) natively and has a Stereo Speaker. Besides a Charger and Headset, you also get a Screen Protector, Data Cable, Cleaning Cloth, OTG Cable in the box.

The tablet comes pre-installed with two of Flipkart’s apps, the e-book app and their shopping app.

The Digiflip Pro XT 712 is priced at Rs. 9,999 and comes in two colours: Black, and White.
