Find Hub’s Remembered Tab Is Now Rolling Out: How to Use It

Find Hub’s “Remembered” tab, the Gemini-powered feature for tracking items that don’t have a physical tracker attached, is now shipping to phones after being announced as “coming soon” at the start of the month. Version 3.1.732-02 of the Find Hub app is rolling out via the Google Play Store, though 9to5Google notes it isn’t yet widely available, so don’t worry if it hasn’t reached your phone.

What the Remembered Tab Actually Does

Find Hub has always been built around physical trackers and devices you can locate on a map. Remembered is different: it’s for the stuff you never put a tag on — a passport, a spare key, a document — that you just want Gemini to keep track of by memory.

The new tab sits alongside Devices and People in the app, marked with a bookmark icon badged by the Gemini spark. Google’s own example phrase, also used in its September Android Drop announcement, is telling Gemini something like: “Remember that I put my passport in my top dresser drawer.” Later, you ask Gemini where it is, and it pulls the answer from what you told it.

How to Use It

  1. Update the Find Hub app to version 3.1.732-02 or later from the Google Play Store.
  2. Open Find Hub and tap the new Remembered tab, or use the “Ask Gemini” shortcut on the floating action button.
  3. Tell Gemini what you’re storing and where — either by voice or by typing, in a sentence like “Remember that I put my passport in my top dresser drawer.”
  4. To add an item manually instead, use the “Manual entry” option: give it a Name and a Storage spot, then optionally attach a picture, a Location, and Notes.
  5. To retrieve an item later, ask Gemini directly, or open the Remembered tab to see everything you’ve logged.

The feature requires Android 16 or later, and works only in countries where both Gemini and Find Hub are supported.

Worth Knowing Before You Rely on It

This is a memory aid, not a tracker — Find Hub isn’t locating your passport the way it locates a Bluetooth tag or a phone. It’s recalling what you typed or said, so accuracy depends entirely on how precisely you described the location and whether you remembered to log it at all. It’s a reasonable tool for the sort of things you’d normally forget you moved, but it’s not a substitute for an actual tracker tile if the item is valuable enough to want real-time location on it.

Google first detailed Remembered as part of its September Android Drop on September 1, alongside Motion Assist and updates to Google Messages. At the time, it was listed as coming soon rather than live. This rollout, a week later, is the feature actually reaching phones.
