Before the official release of Facebook Home on April 12, a pre-release version is leaked as reported by Modaco. The pre-release Android APK for Facebook Home is extracted from a pre-release HTC First ROM and is a combination of three APKs instead of a single APK.
If you own an Android device with a maximum resolution of 1280×768 and want to test it, you can download and install the three APKs on your phone. If you have Facebook already installed, then you must uninstall Facebook from your device first. The leaked APKs may not work on all Android devices though, but if you are on devices like Nexus 4, you are good to go.

- main Facebook app (‘katana’),
- now-integrated-with-your-SMS Messenger app (orca) and
- Home / Launcher ‘shell’ app (home).
We are going to install Facebook HOme on our Nexus 4 and will update the post about how it works, though we are quite sure that the leaked pre-release Facebook Home Android APKs must be a bit buggy and will not work as smooth as it should as it is extracted from a pre-release HTC First ROM.
