Oppo has opened ColorOS 17 closed beta registration for a second wave of devices in China, and a parallel beta program is already live in India — giving OnePlus and Realme owners their first hands-on look at the unified software that will replace OxygenOS and Realme UI going forward.
ColorOS 17 Beta Eligible Devices: China
The China closed beta is now accepting applications for these devices, with each capped at 300 participants:
- Oppo Find series: Find N6, Find N6 Satellite Edition, Find X9 Pro, Find X9 Pro Satellite Edition, Find X9 Ultra, Find X9 Ultra Satellite Edition, Find X9s Pro, Find X9
- Oppo Pad: Pad 5 Pro
- OnePlus: OnePlus 15, OnePlus 15T, OnePlus Pad 3 Pro
- Realme: GT 8 Pro, GT 8 Pro Aston Martin F1 Limited Edition
Beta builds will roll out in batches on August 11 and August 13.

In India, the ColorOS 17 closed beta is already open for a smaller set of devices:
- Oppo: Find X9 Pro, Reno 15 Pro, Reno 15 Pro Mini
- OnePlus: OnePlus 15, OnePlus 15R

How to Apply and What to Expect
Applicants need to submit their registration before the posted deadline, pass a qualification quiz, and may be required to sign an NDA before receiving the firmware. Oppo explicitly warns against installing the beta on a primary device — this is an early build and stability issues are expected.
Early beta reports point to a refreshed visual design with new lighting animations, illuminated edge effects, more blur throughout the interface, redesigned rounded UI elements, and smoother transitions. A next-generation version of Oppo’s Xiaobu AI assistant is also expected, alongside the core improvements from Android 17.
What This Means for OnePlus and Realme Owners
This beta expansion is the practical beginning of Oppo’s decision to retire OxygenOS and Realme UI in favor of a single ColorOS codebase across all three brands. Oppo says the unification will mean faster updates, quicker bug fixes, and a more consistent experience. Whether that consistency comes at the cost of the distinct software identities OnePlus and Realme owners chose their phones for is the open question — and this beta is the first chance for users to judge for themselves.
A leaked eligibility list from July showed which OnePlus devices will eventually receive ColorOS 17. Devices outside the eligible list — including the OnePlus 11R, 10R, 10T, 10 Pro, Nord 3, Nord CE 4, and Nord CE 4 Lite — will stay on OxygenOS with security patches only.
