It’s Official: Asus Zenfone 4 to be unveiled on August 17

Asus has finally announced the official launch date of their fourth generation Zenfone devices i.e. Zenfone 4 series. As per the official announcement, Asus Zenfone 4 will go official on August 17 Press conference. The company is yet to reveal other details such as the venue. The company has signed up Gong Ji-chul, better known by his stage name Gong Yoo as the Zenfone 4 brand Ambassador for Asia-Pacific. He is a popular South Korean actor.

The teaser reveals the rear of Zenfone 4 smartphone (possibly) and highlights the dual camera module of the device. The teaser also comes with a tagline or hashtag of “We Love Photo” clearly emphasizing on the camera capabilities of the device.

Asus teases Zenfone 4 with Dual Camera, launch imminent

Just two days back, we reported that Asus Zenfone 4 may be unveiled on August 17 in Taiwan as per a report. Today we have an official confirmation that Asus Zenfone 4 is going to be officially unveiled soon, though we still don’t have an official launch date.

Asus has started teasing Zenfone 4 through its social media channels such as Facebook and has released four colourful teaser images with a tagline:

It’s time to meet the new #ZenFone 4. Stay tuned.

These teaser images also confirm presence of Dual camera module on Zenfone 4 as all the four teaser images come with two circles and another tag line “Time to be more than ONE” which clearly indicate the dual camera module.

Recent rumors suggest that Asus has least five Models in Zenfone 4 series that may be unveiled one by one or at the same time, out of which we have already seen the Zenfone 4 Max being unveiled officially. The other four models left to be unveiled are:

  • ZenFone 4 – ZE554KL
  • ZenFone 4 Pro – Z01GD
  • ZenFone 4 Selfie – Z01M
  • ZenFone 4V V – 520KL/A006

We do not have much information about the hardware specifications of Zenfone 4 at the moment. Whereas Asus Zenfone 4 Max sports a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p IPS display, powered by 1.4 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 /430 Mobile Platform along with 2GB / 3GB / 4GB of RAM and 16GB / 32GB / 64GB internal storage. It runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) based operating system with Zen UI on top. In terms of camera, it comes with a dual camera setup at rear consisting of 13 MP camera sensor and secondary camera sensor with 120-degree wide-angle lens, EIS. On the front, you have a 8 MP shooter with f/2.2 aperture, 85-degree wide-angle lens and soft LED flash.
