Motorola Mobility has announced that their flagship device, the Moto X will be available in India and Australia soon.

The announcement was made on their official Twitter account, during their Press Event at the Mobile World Congress 2014, in Barcelona

Here is what the tweet said,

Q: When will see Moto X in Aisa A: In next few weeks Moto X will launch in India and Australia #MotoMWC

— motorolaus (@MotorolaUS) February 25, 2014

While there is no word about the pricing we expect it will be sold for the same price as the American 32 GB version which costs $449.99 (USD), or 31500 Rupees. They also hinted that with the help of Lenovo, the Moto x could make its way into China as well.

Mark Randall, the Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Operations at Motorola, also announced proudly that their budget smartphone Moto G was their biggest success in the history of the Company.

A: Mark Randall talking about importance of giving people access to smart phones. Moto G now Motorola's most successful launch. #MotoMWC

They also revealed plans about a new version of the Moto X, which is coming later this Summer.

The device which could be named the Moto X2, will cost less than $600.

Q: Will Motorla sell high priced phones? A: Great smart phones should be available to everyone & days of $600 phones are limited. #MotoMWC

— motorolaus (@MotorolaUS) February 25, 2014

Motorola learnt a lesson when they launched the Moto X for $600 in 2013, before it saw a price cut of $150, to boost sales.

They will also be launching Moto Maker for the X in Mexico and Europe in Q2

A: Moto Maker was launched only is US, we will roll out Moto Maker in W Europe and Mexico in Q2. We think customization is huge. #MotoMWC

Now coming to the other big news, Motorola surprised everyone by announcing that they are working on a Smartwatch, which is also expected to come out this year.

Rick – We are working on a watch that will be available this year. We aim to address consumer issues like style & battery life #MotoMWC

A few days ago, we reported that Google will be unveiling a Smartwatch manufactured by LG, at this years I/O developer Conference in June. So I think it is safe to assume that Motorola’s wearable will be independently launched.

The company also said that the Lenovo acquisition will not impact support for their devices in any way, and that they will focus on the Android OS.

We will keep you updated on developments on this, as they unfold.
