POCO has launched the M8 Power 5G in India, its first phone with an 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery and a near-7-inch OLED display. The POCO M8 Power 5G starts at Rs 24,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant, with the 8GB + 128GB model priced at Rs 27,999. Sales begin August 7 on Flipkart during the Freedom Sale.
Launch offers bring the effective starting price down to Rs 21,999: buyers get a Rs 1,000 coupon during the first 12 hours, plus up to Rs 2,000 off via bank discounts or exchange bonuses.
POCO M8 Power 5G Specifications
The M8 Power 5G runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4, a 4nm chip that POCO says crosses 630,000 on AnTuTu. The 6.99-inch FHD+ OLED panel pushes a 120Hz refresh rate with 240Hz touch sampling and peaks at 1,800 nits, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. Available colours are Black, Blaze Orange, and Green.

The 8,000mAh battery is the standout number here, matching the capacity OPPO and vivo have been pushing in China but arriving at a lower price point than most competitors. The trade-off is storage — 128GB with UFS 2.2 is modest for 2026, especially without a higher-storage tier. The IP65 rating is also a step below the IP68 that flagships and even some mid-rangers now offer. But for buyers who prioritise battery life above all else, the M8 Power 5G makes a straightforward case at under Rs 25,000.
