iQOO Neo 9 Pro launched in India: Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Price

iQoo Neo 9 Pro was unveiled in India on Thursday, marking the latest addition to the brand’s premium mid-range smartphone line-up. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile processor with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Operating on the Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14 right from the start, the iQoo Neo 9 Pro features a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it boasts a 50-megapixel main camera equipped with a Sony IMX920 sensor.

iQoo Neo 9 Pro Price and Availability

The iQoo Neo 9 Pro is priced in India at Rs. 37,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage base model, with a higher-end variant featuring 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage available at Rs. 39,999. It comes in two vibrant colour options i.e.: Conqueror Black and Fiery Red. It is scheduled to be available for purchase starting at 12pm (noon) on Friday through Amazon and the iQoo e-store.

Additionally, customers can benefit from discounts offered by HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank, with a reduction of Rs. 2,000 on the handset’s price, as announced by the company. A special promotion, valid until February 26, will further decrease the price by Rs. 1,000.

Moreover, a third configuration / cheaper version of the phone with smaller RAM & Storage, equipped with 8GB of RAM +128GB of storage, will be released on March 21 at a price of Rs. 35,999. Sale offers from the company will also apply to this model, offering a discount of Rs. 2,000.

iQoo Neo 9 Pro Specifications and Features

The iQoo Neo 9 Pro, a dual SIM (Nano) device, operates on Funtouch OS 14, which is built on top of Android 14. This marks the first instance in the IQoo Neo series to offer three years of operating system updates and a fourth year dedicated to security updates. The device showcases a 6.78-inch 1.5K (1,260×2,800 pixels) LTPO AMOLED display, boasting a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz for regular usage and 144Hz for gaming sessions. Additionally, it incorporates iQoo’s Wet Touch technology, enabling interaction with the device even with wet hands. At its core, the Neo 9 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, along with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM.

Photography on the iQoo Neo 9 Pro is handled by a dual rear camera setup, featuring a 50-megapixel primary shooter with a Sony IMX920 sensor (1/1.49-inch) with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an f/1.88 aperture, alongside an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera with an OmniVision OV08D10 sensor and an f/2.2 aperture. Selfie and video call capabilities are powered by a 16-megapixel front camera, utilizing a Samsung S5K3P9SP04-FGX9 sensor with an f/2.5 aperture. Storage options peak at 256GB of UFS 4.0.

For connectivity, the smartphone supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. It’s outfitted with an array of sensors including an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, proximity sensor, and gyroscope. Security is enhanced with an optical fingerprint scanner, and the device also features an infrared blaster for controlling various home appliances.

The iQoo Neo 9 Pro is powered by a robust 5,160mAh battery, supporting 120W SuperVOOC charging for rapid power-ups. It comes with an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. The handset’s dimensions are 163.53×75.68×8.34mm, and it has a weight of 190g.
