We already know that the highly anticipated flagship from Samsung will be launched on August 9th at a Galaxy Unpacked event in New York. A report from Seoul has hinted about the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 availability.

The device will be released on August 24th in Korea. Apparently this schedule seems to be faster than before. ET News says that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 availability date is 20 days earlier than expected, but it still won’t be the device which has been available the quickest, in the history of the Note series. That honour belongs to the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7 which debuted on August 19th, 2016, and its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 5 which was available from August 20th, 2015.

In comparison, the Galaxy Note 8 was available from September 15th, 2017, after an August 23rd launch. That was 23 days from launch day. Why is this so important? Simply put, sales numbers. More specifically, the company will be be competing with the next Apple iPhone launch, which could arrive sometime in October.

So, with the early Samsung Galaxy Note 9 availability, the South Korean electronics giant could have a good two-month head start over the coveted Cupertino company’s devices. It could very well make a huge impact in terms of economics.

Here’s what we know about the upcoming flagship. The Galaxy Note 9 features a 6.4 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2960 × 1440 pixels and an 18:5:9 aspect ratio with the Infinity display bezel-less full-screen design. The device is expected to be available in two processor variants, one with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and the other with an Exynos 9810 processor.

The phone will have dual rear cameras comprising of 12MP lenses, and a single selfie lens which is an 8MP front camera. A 4000 mAh battery is rumoured to be packed into the device, the rear panel of which could house the fingerprint scanner.
