After loads of speculation, we finally have an official launch date of Vivo NEX, the upcoming flagship device from Vivo with a high screen to body ratio and premium hardware. Vivo has scheduled a launch event in Shanghai on June 12. The official teaser image released by the company comes with a tagline of “What is NEX” and the launch date of June 12. The teaser suggests a full screen device with high screen to body ratio and under screen fingerprint sensor embedded with the display itself.

We have already seen Vivo NEX S variant listed on Chinese certification agency CCC portal. The listing reveals that the phone comes with a 22.5W charger which basically indicates some fast charging mechanism such as Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ or something similar. The device has also surfaced on benchmarking portal Geekbench and thanks to leaks, we already know that two variants of the phone may be launched. The premium or high end variant may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 while the lower variant with toned down hardware may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor. Under the hood, it may come with 4GB to 8GB of RAM and runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) based operating system.

In terms of pricing, the rumors indicate that Snapdragon 845 variant of the device may be priced at 6998Yuan ($1100) while the Snapdragon 710 variant may be priced at 4998Yuan ($780).
