Samsung seems to be seriously working around Bixby and trying to expand its reach in terms of new features or services around the Artificial Intelligence AI voice assistant technology.The AI Assistant has already received at least four software updates in June alone after Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ was released .
Latest reports from Korea indicate that Samsung has started developing a Bluetooth earset for its AI voice assistant ‘Bixby’ with a a small / medium South Korean company and already doing tests linking and optimizing Bixby with Bluetooth earset solution. With this, consumers will be able to get answers from or give commands to Bixby even when they are not close to their Smartphones. The company is likely to release this earset at the same time when Galaxy Note8 is released in September.
Report also suggests that the Bluetooth earset for Bixby uses ‘Noise Blocking technology’ to minimizes malfunction occurring due to surrounding noise and it only draws voice from a user even when his or her voice is mixed with other noise. It utilises human body in someway which is not applied to Apple’s airpods.
A Samsung Electronics representative said “When Bluetooth earsets for Bixby are released, we expect that they will be a great help in improving convenience level for users who are using our flagship Smartphones. Because it is not a model with exact release date, it is difficult for us to disclose any detailed information regarding current process.”
