Samsung announce Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) in India

Samsung has just announced two new smartphones in India i.e. Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017). These two devices are mid range smartphones and are priced at Rs. 28,990 and 33,490 respectively. Even though the hardware specifications of both these devices are similar, the display sizes are quite different. Galaxy A5 comes with a 5.2-inch FHD Super AMOLED display while Galaxy A7 comes with 5.7-inch FHD Super AMOLED display.

The compact Galaxy A5 (2017) is powered by an Octa-Core 1.9 GHz Exynos 7880 Processor along with Mali-T830MP3 GPU and 3 GB of RAM. It comes with 32 GB of internal storage along with support for expandable storage via microsd card up to 256GB and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based operating system. In terms of camera, it comes with 16 MP main rear camera with LED flash capable of shooting FHD 1080p videos and another 16 MP front shooter for selfies. It is backed by 3000 mAh battery along with support for fast charging. In terms of connectivity, it comes with support for 4G LTE along with VOLTE. It includes a fingerprint sensor embedded in the front home button.

Both smartphones are IP68 certified for dust & water resistance. Both the Galaxy A 2017 smartphones will be available in two colors – Black Sky and Gold Sand. Samsung Galaxy A7 and Samsung Galaxy A5 will be available at a price of INR 33,490 and 28,990 respectively via both offline & online channels.
