Alleged 4.6″ Xiaomi Mi S leaked with Snapdragon 821, FHD display, 4 GB RAM

Xiaomi has announced some new powerful devices in last few months which include devices such as Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus and Xiaomi Mi Mix. Today a new upcoming device is spotted on Weibo with the name “Xiaomi Mi S” which appears to be a compact variant of one of these flagship devices launched by the company. The name Xiaomi Mi S appears to be some kind of code name or a dummy and the final product if launched (provided this leak is true) may come with a completely different name as we haven’t seen any device under “Mi S” category.

The leak includes a set of seven images allegedly showing the Xiaomi Mi S render images for front and back portion along with the hardware specification of the device. As per these, Mi 5S sports a 4.6 inch Full HD display, powered by Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor along with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage. In term sof camera, it sports 12 MP Sony IMX378 main rear camera and a 4 MP front shooter for selfies. The device is backed by a 2600 mAh battery along with quick charge support. It is 8.2 mm thick and weighs 138 grams. NFC is also included. It comes with a USB C type port and 3.5 mm audio jack is also present.

To be honest, we are not sure if this leak is even true to some extent and may be fake. The screen size of 4.6 inch and the render images doesn’t bring much confidence to this leak. Similarly the thickness of 8.2 mm inspite of having just 2600 mah battery adds more to suspicion. Xiaomi Mi 5 is just 7.3 mm thick even with a battery of 3000 mAh. Yet as with any other leak that we report at Androidpure, take this too with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
