Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 with 3GB RAM, Full Metal Body, Fingerprint Sensor launched in China

Xiaomi has officially launched its latest phablet, the Redmi Note 3 in China.

The phone sports a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080 Display, which supports sunlight display, night display, and reading mode.

The Redmi Note 3 is powered by a Helio X10 MediaTek processor, and comes in two variants, one with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal Storage and the other with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The device runs on MIUI 7 based on Android KitKat.

The Note 3 comes with fingerprint sensor on the rear, which unlocks the device in just 0.3s. The phone features a 13 megapixel rear camera with Phase Detection Autofocus with 0.1s ultra fast-focusing, and a two tone flash. The selfie lens is a 5 megapixel front camera.

There is a single speaker grill, on the rear of the device. The Redmi Note 3 is backed by a 4000 mAh battery, and sports a full metal body with curved edges, and still only weighs 164g, making it just 4g heavier than its predecessor, the Note 2. The Redmi Note 3 is also thin at just 8.65mm, and is a Dual Sim phone, with support for 4G LTE on both sim card slots.

The Redmi Note 3 comes in three colours: Silver, Gold and Dark grey.

Xiaomi has priced the Redmi Note 3 2GB RAM/16GB variant at RMB 899 (approx 9300 Rupees or $140) and the 3GB RAM/32GB variant at RMB 1099 (approx 11400 Rupees or $172).

Xiaomi has also launched its new tablet, the Mi Pad 2 in China.
