Lenovo K80 with 4 GB RAM, 4000 mAh battery announced for $290

Lenovo has announced a new phone with 4GB RAM.

The  Lenovo K80, will be the third phone to feature 4 gigs of RAM, after the ASUS Zenfone 2 which was launched in India yesterday, and the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro, which was announced in January.

The Lenovo K80 flaunts a 5.5-inch display, and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop. It is powered by a 1.8 GHz 64-bit Intel Atom processor. It has 64GB of internal storage, and packs a massive 4,000 mAh battery.

The K80 sports a 13 megapixel camera with Optical Image Stabilization on the rear. Thr K80 is an LTE enabled phone, and measures just 8.5mm in thickness.

The Lenovo K80 has been priced at 1,799 Yuan (about $290 or Rs. 18500). It will be available from April 30th in China. The phone comes in three colours: Black, Silver, and Red.

Lenovo will also release a variant with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage for 1,499 Yuan (about $240 or Rs. 15500). There is no word on a global release yet.
