LG launches the 16GB Nexus 4 in India for Rs. 25,999

After many months of anticipation, LG India have officially announced that the Nexus 4 will be available in India.

Nexus4

The 16 GB version of the phone will go on sale this week.

The Nexus 4 has been the most sought after phone all over the world. And it has been out of stock in the U.S Play Store quite often frustrating thousands of potential buyers. Let us hope we will have better luck.

A quick description about the specs:

With a 1.5GHz Quad core processor, 16GB internal memory and 2GB RAM, it is more than just a phone, it’s a beast. It also features a 4.7″ IPS Display with a stunning resolution of 1280 x 768, and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection for the screen. The phone has two cameras, an 8 mega pixel camera with flash on the rear and a 1.3 MP front camera. The device will ship with 4.2.2 Android Jelly Bean. It also supports wireless charging.

I expect that this phone will be one of the latest builds, the ones with the better camera lens and the nearly invisible protrusion at the back which prevents the phone from slipping.

LG have priced the Nexus 4 at Rs 25, 999 and have said that the handset will be available at selected LG exclusive brand shops, Multi brand outlets and speciality stores across India. This could also include Croma, which has been selling the Asus Google Nexus 7.

If you can’t wait for the phone to go on sale, you can pre-order the phone from Flipkart.

I am a bit surprised that Google isn’t selling the Nexus 4 on the Play Store. But now that the device has been officially announced, I guess and hope it will put an end to the atrocious pricing that we see on some e-shopping websites. Especially the 8GB ones which were being sold for as much as Rs,30000 and above.

Thanks to Raju for the PR.
