Nokia X2 is released just yesterday by Microsoft and even though it is not targeted towards the entry level consumers, many users do get curious if it is better to buy a Nokia X2 or just grab the already existing Moto E. Honestly, its difficult to compare both the device considering the fact that Nokia X2 runs on Nokia own version of Android or u can call it Android whereas the Moto E runs almost the pure stock Android 4.4 kitkat. The user experiences on both devices will be going to be different due to different operating system even though both are based on Android.

Nokia-X2 vs Moto EThe comparison below only talks about the hardware as I am yet to get access to Nokia X2 smartphone even though I have used the Moto E for many days. Checkout below how Nokia X2 compares with Moto E in terms of hardware and other features.

As you can see from the table above, in terms of Hardware Nokia X2 looks almost similar to Moto E except few minor differences. Both the devices come with 4.3 inch display with Nokia x2 with ClearBlack WVGA LCD whereas Moto E being the qHD display. In terms of pixel per inch , Moto E still scores with a 256 ppi compared to 217 ppi of Nokia X2.

The CPU for both the devices looks identical i.e Dual core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon supported by 1 GB of RAM.

Nokia X2 does come with a front VGA camera which is a plus point and we do know that the quality of camera in Nokia devices are better compared to other brands.

Moto E is powered by a bigger battery of 1980 mAh whereas Nokia x2 comes with 1800 mAh.

In terms of features, users may miss the Google Play Store in Nokia X2 even though technically its possible to install any Android app on the device but an average user has no idea on how to do it.

In terms of pricing, Moto E still holds the edge (with a price tag of Rs. 6,999) unless Nokia X2 is priced lower when it is launched in countries like India. At the moment Nokia X2 is priced at €99 (if converted directly to rupee, ~Rs. 8000 though we know taxes and other consideration will play the role in final pricing in India).
