After unveiling the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, rumour mills have shifted to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Rumours till date indicate that the upcoming flagship device i.e. Note 8 may be announced during the IFA Berlin event or sometime before that. Today, we have a new rumour originating from China which suggests more specific launch date. As per this new rumour, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 may be announced during the third week of August at an event in New York. The message when translated to English with Bing translator reveals the following:

Galaxy Note8, August third week, New York released!

The third week of August falls under 14 Aug to 19 August and it does match with the earlier rumour technically that the launch may happen before the IFA event in September.

Alleged Galaxy Note 8 Render

Based on the rumours till date, Galaxy Note 8 is expected to feature a 6.3-inch 2K Infinity Display similar to Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+ with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 and may be the first phone to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 SoC chipset. In terms of camera, it is rumoured to feature a 12 MP + 13 MP dual-sensor setup at the rear and another 8 MP front shooter with autofocus & stereo speakers. The fingerprint sensor may be present at the back panel similar to Galaxy S8.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was launched last year on August 2. Note 7 features an S Pen stylus and comes with dual-edge 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 powered by Samsung Exynos 8890 Octa-core SoC / Snapdragon 820 along with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM.

We already have seen some alleged renders of Note 8, though they are far from credible. As with any other leak, take this with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
