Exclusive: Vivo V7+ to come with “FullView” Display

Vivo is set to announce  new selfie focussed smartphones Vivo V7+ next week at an event in Mumbai, India. The launch invite from the company had already indicated that Vivo V7 Plus may come with display similar to what we have seen in phones such as Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ or LG G6 with aspect ratio near to 18:9 and an improved selfie camera sensor. As Vivo V5 Plus comes with a dual front camera module, we expect that to continue with V7+ too but with improved sensors. Till date, we were not sure what Vivo is going to call the display (just as Samsung Calls it Infinity Display, whereas LG calls it FullVision Display).

Based on an anonymous tip that we received which comes in the form of promotional poster, Vivo V7+ comes with a “FullView” Display, though the promotional poster doesn’t reveal the aspect ratio of the device. The poster matches with what we have seen in the Invite teaser and it only confirms the “FullView” Display name.

Based on another leak, we already know that both Vivo V7 and Vivo V7+ are expected to feature 24 MP front selfie camera. Rest of the specifications are still unknown.

Coming to the existing Vivo V5 Plus, it features a 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display, powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage running Funtouch OS 3.0 (based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system).
