Motorola has confirmed more than 50 devices for the stable Android 17 update, and the rollout has already started with the Motorola Edge 2025. The company published the full eligibility list on its official Lenovo Spain blog, covering everything from its premium Razr foldables down to budget Moto G models. Newer Razr and Edge devices are expected to receive the update first, with the rest following gradually over the coming weeks and months.

What HelloUI Brings to Android 17
Motorola’s Android 17 build is branded HelloUI and introduces several notable features: a Dynamic Island-style Live Updates system, the new Qira Moto AI assistant, expanded lock-screen customization, resizable Quick Settings tiles, refreshed haptics with tinted icons, and a redesigned volume panel. Motorola’s Android 17 beta program started just days after Google released Android 17 Beta 1 in February, putting it ahead of several rival OEMs on beta availability.

What About Excluded Devices?
Motorola has not published a separate exclusion list. Notably absent from the eligibility list are all Edge 50 models except the Edge 50 Ultra, and all Moto G models from 2024 and earlier apart from the listed exceptions. If your Motorola phone is not on this list, it almost certainly will not receive Android 17.
Rollout Timeline
The stable update has already begun with the Motorola Edge 2025. Motorola says the remaining devices will receive the update “gradually over the coming weeks and months,” but has not published a model-by-model schedule. Based on reporting from multiple outlets, the expected order is: Signature and Razr 2025 models first (August through September 2026), followed by the Edge 60 and Edge 50 Ultra (October through November), with budget Moto G models arriving last in late 2026 or early 2027. Those windows are not officially confirmed by Motorola — treat them as estimates.
