Xiaomi and Redmi India prices are reportedly going up from today, 27 July 2026, across five models, with the increases running from ₹1,000 at the entry level to ₹5,000 on the Xiaomi 17T. The revised price list comes from a leak, not from Xiaomi — the company has issued no press release and no spokesperson has commented, so treat the figures below as unconfirmed until they show up on official listings.
The list was posted on X on 26 July by tipster Sanju Choudhary (@saaaanjjjuuu), whose post opens with “Price hike alert Xiaomi increases the price of their smartphones by upto ₹5K”. A second leaker, Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd), posted the same claim separately within minutes.

One variant the sources disagree on
The top Redmi 15C 5G configuration is the one figure that does not line up. Choudhary’s post lists 8GB + 128GB at ₹21,499, a ₹500 rise. Digit reports the same variant at ₹22,499, a ₹1,500 rise in line with the rest of that model’s lineup. With no official price list to settle it, we have kept the tipster’s figure in the list above and flagged the disagreement rather than picking a winner. If the ₹21,499 number is right, the 8GB model would sit only ₹1,000 above the 6GB one instead of the current ₹2,000 gap.
Why prices are rising
None of this is Xiaomi-specific. DRAM and NAND flash contract prices have climbed steeply as AI and data-centre buyers absorb supply, and memory is one of the largest line items in a phone’s bill of materials — which is why a ₹15,000 phone with 4GB of RAM is taking a smaller hit than the ₹60,000 one with 12GB. Samsung, Vivo, OPPO and OnePlus have all pushed through India increases in recent weeks, and Qualcomm has been raising chip prices to its partners as well. Expect more of these, not fewer, through the rest of 2026.
What buyers should do
If you have one of these five phones on a shortlist, check the live listing price before you assume the old MRP still applies — retailer pages update at different times, and a stale sale banner is not a guarantee. There is also a quieter consequence worth naming: festive-season discounts later this year will be calculated against the new, higher MRPs, so a bigger-looking percentage off may still land you at a worse absolute price than today. The number to compare is what you actually pay, not the size of the discount badge.
