Xiaomi has announced its flagship foldable phone in China. This is the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3.
The external screen, aka the cover display on the device is a 6.56 inches Full HD+ flexible AMOLED panel. The screen supports a resolution of, 2520 x 1080 pixels, has a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, DCI-P3 colour gamut, 21:9 aspect ratio, and 8,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The display supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, has a brightness of 2600 nits and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The internal display has similar features, but is larger in size at 8.03 inches with a 2K+ resolution of 2160 x 1916 pixels.
The mobile runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13. The device has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. The MIX Fold 3 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 octa-core processor with an Adreno 740 GPU, 12 GB / 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 256 GB / 512 GB / 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
The primary camera set up on the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 has a 50 megapixels Leica lens with a Sony IMX 800 sensor, an f/1.8 aperture. It is accompanied by a 12 megapixels ultra-wide angle lens that has an f/2.2 aperture, 120° FOV, a 10 MP Leica Telephoto lens with an f/2.0 aperture,3x zoom and a 10 MP Periscope Lens that supports 5x optical zoom, has an f/2.92 aperture and an LED Flash module. The cameras support Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), 8K video recording at 24fps, 4K video shooting at 60fps. The selfie lens on the smartphone is a 20 megapixels snapper.
Xiaomi has packed a 4800 mAh battery in the device, it supports 67 W fast wired charging via a USB Type-C port, and 50 W wireless fast charging. The phone has Dual Strereo Speakers, and supports Dolby Atmos. Connectivity options on the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 includes support for Dual SIM cards with 5G and 4G LTE mobile networks, WiFi 7, WiFi 6 802.11 a/b/g dual-band 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, NacIC, AGNSS and BeiDou.
The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 weighs 259g and measures 161.2 x 73.5 x 10.96 when folded, and is 161.2 x 143.28 x 5.26mm in its
unfolded state.

The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 price in China starts at RMB 8,999 (about $1,200) for the 12 GB / 256 GB trim. The 16 GB / 512 GB version costs RMB 9,999 (approx 1,400), while the top-end model with 16 GB / 1TB carries a price tag of RMB 10,999 (about$1,500).
