Few days back we reported leak of set of live images of alleged Xiaomi Mi 5C smartphone with code name “Meri”. The leaked images revealed some of the hardware information about the operating system, Processor, RAM and internal storage of the device. But the leaked images didn’t reveal any information about the display size and battery capacity of the device. Today we have a new set of nine images of the same smartphone spotted on Weibo, which matches with the earlier leaked images.
These images though doesn’t offer much of additional information about the hardware specifications of the device on top of what we already know from earlier images. The leak adds the information about display size of the device i.e. 5.1 inch display. These images indicate that Xiaomi Mi 5C sports a 5.1 inch display, powered by 2.0 GHz Octa-core processor with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage running Android 6.0 marshmallow based MIUI 8. The Mi logo is at the back panel just as the recently launched Xiaomi Mi 5S, whereas the main rear camera with flash is at the top. The front display shows the wide Home button with embedded fingerprint sensor probably.
In spite of all these real images that are leaked, we are yet to even know the official name of the smartphone. Xiaomi Mi 5C is the rumored name and we are still seeing the code name “Meri” on these leaked images. Also, all these images avoid the view of top which usually shows the 3.5 mm audio jack. We would love to see if Xiaomi is still keeping the 3.5 mm audio jack on their future smartphones.
