Xiaomi Schedules Jan 19 event in India, may launch Redmi Note 4X

Xiaomi has scheduled its first launch event for 2017 in India on January 19. The company is teasing the event through its social media channels and even has started sending out media invites for the same. The teaser just comes with “19 January” the date and place i.e. New Delhi, India. The teaser doesn’t give any details on what product they are launching.

In our opinion, Xiaomi is going to launch the Redmi Note 4X during the launch event. At the moment, hugely popular Redmi Note 3 is available for sale in India, whereas its successor Redmi Note 4 was launched in August in China, but didn’t get as good response as Redmi Note 3. Redmi Note 4 is yet to be announced for India and we think that Xiaomi may skip that by launching its upgrade i.e. Redmi Note 4X.

We have already seen some rumors about this smartphone including some leaked image which show that it come with fingerprint sensor embedded with the front Home button instead of being placed on back panel.

Redmi Note 4X is rumored sport a 5.5 inch Full HD display, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor along with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage running MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. In terms of camera, it comes with a 16 MP main rear camera and a 8 MP front shooter for selfies. It is backed by a 4000 mAh battery.
