Temple Run 2 received an update today, which changes some aspects in the game’s relics and artifacts system.
Remember all those duplicate artifacts and relics you collected? Well, they are no longer junk.
You can now claim rewards i.e, coins and gems for every artifact and relic you collect, including new ones. Don’t worry, they will still be displayed as collected items.
You have to tap on the artifacts page in the game, and then on the reward button to get your coins and gems. Unfortunately, you can’t get the rewards for a large number of artifacts by tapping the button once. Refer to the first screenshot in this article, and you will see that it shows the number of artifacts displayed under the rewards button. Say, if you have 10 dupes of the same artifact, you have to tap it 10 times to get your ten rewards.
The artifact system has also been tweaked to reduce the number of duplicate artifacts. So, in case you have been struggling to finish a collection, you now have a better chance at doing so.
The game also has new objectives for you to accomplish, and since Christmas is just around the corner, guess who decided to show up? Ho Ho Ho! It’s Santa Claus, and Mrs. Claus too.
You can unlock them for 40 gems each, and they will be leaving once the Holiday season is over. So make sure you unlock them soon.
