Earlier today, we reported about the new TouchWiz software on the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 , called the Grace UX. And now, it appears that a full list of technical specifications have been leaked on Weibo.
The report (via Sammobile) says that the Note 7 will sport a 5.7-inch Quad HD 1440p Super AMOLED display, and run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Grace UX.
The device will come in two chipset variants, to cater to different markets. The first is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 powered phablet, while the latter is an Exynos 8893 powered device. Both variants will come with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and in three different storage choices 64GB, 128GB and 256GB of internal storage. Additionally there is an expandable memory option thanks to a microSD card slot.
The photography department on the Note 7 will feature a 12 megapixel dual pixel rear camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) similar to the Samsung Galaxy S7. The selfie lens is a 5 megapixel front camera. The Note 7 will support fast charging for its mammoth 4,000 mAh battery.
It is worth mentioning that the report does not mention an iris scanner, which was confirmed last week by Evan Blass. And the same can be said about the fingerprint scanner, which is likely embedded in the physical home button of the Note 7.
If the leaked specs list is true, this will make the Note 7, the first phone from the South Korean electronics giant, to feature a USB Type-C port. Other noteworthy features of the device include IP68 certification for water/dust resistance, a new S-Pen Sylus, and support for Samsung Pay.
