Samsung Galaxy F54 5G launched in India; will get 4 Android OS upgrades

Samsung has announced a new mid-range phone in India. Here is all you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy F54 5G.

The smartphone sports a 6.7-inches Full HD+ Super AMOLED Plus display that has a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, and supports 120Hz Refresh Rate.

The phone is powered by an octa-core Exynos 1380 processor clocked at 2.4 GHz, and an ARM Mali G68 MP5 GPU. The device runs on OneUI 5 based on Android 13 out of the box. Samsung says it will support the Galaxy F54 5G with 4 years of major Android OS upgrades, and 5 years of security updates. The mobile has 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of internal storage, and supports up to 1TB of additional storage via a microSD card.

The Samsung Galaxy F54 5G is equipped with a triple camera array on the rear, it consists of a 108 megapixels primary sensor that supports optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8 megapixels ultra-wide angle lens, a 2 megapixels macro lens and an LED Flash. The selfie lens on the smartphone is a 32 megapixels snapper with an f/2.2 aperture.

Connectivity options on the mobile include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi Dualband, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.3. The phone supports the following 5G bands: FDD Sub6 N1(2100), N3(1800), N5(850), N7(2600), N8(900), N28(700) – 5G* TDD Sub6 N40(2300), N41(2500), N77(3700), N78(3500).

Samsung has packed a 6,000mAh battery in the Galaxy F54 5G, it supports 25W fast charging, via a USB Type-C port. The device measures 164.9 x 77.3 x 8.4 and weighs 199g. The Galaxy F54 5G does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack. It has an accelerometer, a fingerprint scanner, a gyro sensor, a geomagnetic sensor, a light sensor, a proximity sensor. The device seems to be a rebranded version of the Samsung Galaxy M54 5G.

Samsung Galaxy F54 5G price in India

The Samsung Galaxy F54 5G has been priced at Rs. 29,999 in India. Samsung is offering an instant discount of Rs. 2,000 off of the device’s price with select bank cards, which brings the price of the phone down to Rs. 27,999. The mobile will be available for purchase on Flipkart, Samsung.com, and retail stores. The device comes in 2 colours: Meteor Blue and Stardust Silver.
