Samsung Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50 with Infinity-U notch display officially announced

Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50. Both phones feature an Infinity-U notch display, and we did report about an India launch for them, which could happen soon.

The Galaxy A30 sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 19:5:9 aspect ratio, and runs on Android 9 Pie. The device is powered by an Exynos 7904 processor, with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of storage, and supports up to 512GB expandable memory via a dedicated microSD card slot.

The Galaxy A30 flaunts a dual rear camera set up consisting of a 16MP lens with an f/1.9 aperture and a 5MP lens with an f/2.2 aperture. The selfie lens is a 16MP camera with an f/1.9 aperture. The phone has a fingerprint scanner on the back panel.

Samsung Galaxy A50

The Samsung Galaxy A50 is a slightly higher end phone, which is powered by an Exynos 9610 processor, and 4GB/6GB RAM. The phone comes with 64GB/128GB of storage, and a dedicated microSD card slot, which supports up to 512GB expandable storage.

The device features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, a 19:5:9 aspect ratio and includes an in-display fingerprint scanner.  The Galaxy A50 has a 25MP selfie lens with an f/2.0 aperture. One of the triple cameras on the rear is also a 25MP rear camera with an f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide lens with an f/2.4 aperture and a 5MP depth sensor.

The Galaxy A30 and A50 are backed by a 4000mAh battery, which supports 15W fast charging over a USB Type-C port. The phones run Android 9 Pie and include support for Bixby.
