Pixel 11 Leaks Point to a $100 Price Hike Across the Lineup

Google’s August 12 Pixel event is three days away, and the leaked spec sheet for the Pixel 11 lineup paints a clear picture: every model costs $100 more than its predecessor, with the base Pixel 11 starting at a rumored $899, the Pro at $1,099, the Pro XL at $1,299, and the Pro Fold at $1,899. Google has acknowledged that prices are going up but hasn’t confirmed specific figures.

The price increase reportedly reflects two factors — minimum storage jumping from 128GB to 256GB across the board, and a global DRAM cost surge that has pushed per-gigabyte memory pricing from roughly $2.80 in 2025 to around $12 in 2026. That memory crunch may also explain why the Pro models could ship with 12GB of RAM at the 256GB tier, with 16GB reserved for the 512GB and 1TB configurations. If true, some buyers will be paying more for a phone with less RAM than last year’s model — a trade-off worth scrutinizing once Google makes it official.

Pixel 11 Specs: What the Leaks Say

The headline upgrade is the Tensor G6, reportedly built on TSMC’s 2nm process — which would make it the first smartphone chipset on that node. It uses ARM’s newer C1 core architecture in a 1+4+2 configuration, with a single C1 Ultra core clocked at 4.11GHz and four C1-Pro cores at 3.38GHz. The Samsung Exynos modem that Pixel phones have used since the Tensor G3 era is gone, replaced by a MediaTek M90.

On the camera front, the Pro and Pro XL get the most capable setup: a 50MP main sensor, 48MP ultrawide with macro, and a 48MP periscope telephoto offering 5x optical zoom and up to 120x digital (branded “Pro Zoom”), plus a 42MP front camera with a wide 103-degree field of view. The base Pixel 11 steps down to a 48MP main, 13MP ultrawide, and 10MP telephoto with 30x digital zoom. The Pro Fold carries a 48MP main, 10.5MP ultrawide, and a 10.8MP periscope telephoto with 5x optical.

A design change worth noting: the temperature sensor introduced on the Pro models is gone. In its place, Google is reportedly adding an RGB LED system on the camera bar called “HiLight” (also referred to as “Pixel Glow” in some leaks) that provides visual feedback during Gemini interactions and video recording. The camera visor itself is now all-glass, dropping the metal accent from the Pixel 10 series.

Battery and Charging

Battery capacities are broadly similar to the Pixel 10 generation. The base Pixel 11 gets a 4,985mAh cell, the Pro sits at 4,850mAh, and the Pro XL at 5,115mAh. The Pro Fold drops slightly to around 4,800mAh from its predecessor’s 5,015mAh. Charging remains at 30W wired for most models, with the Pro XL getting 45W. All models reportedly support the Qi2 wireless standard.

Colors and Availability

The Pixel 11 comes in Midnight Haze, Light Sterling, Fuchsia, and Moss. The Pro and Pro XL offer Midnight Haze, Light Fog, Pine, and Dune — with the Midnight Haze variant featuring an all-matte finish on both the frame and back glass. The Pro Fold is limited to Midnight Haze and Pine.

All core hardware — including the Pro Fold, which Google has previously staggered by weeks or months — is expected to ship starting August 20, eight days after the announcement. The Pixel Watch 5 (covered in our earlier teaser coverage) and a new UWB-based tracker called Pixel Tag (priced around EUR 35 in Europe) round out the lineup.

UK pricing has also leaked: the Pixel 11 at GBP 879, Pro at GBP 1,079, and Pro XL at GBP 1,279 for the 256GB base tier. All figures remain unconfirmed until Google’s August 12 event.
