Oppo’s A7 Pro Max has expanded beyond China, launching in Austria, Malaysia, and Thailand. It brings a 10,000mAh battery that’s among the largest fitted to any mainstream phone on sale right now.
The Headline Feature: Battery
The A7 Pro Max packs a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. Oppo says that chemistry holds onto more of its capacity over repeated charge cycles than older battery tech. It charges at 80W wired, getting a full charge done in roughly 90 minutes. It also supports 27W reverse charging, so you can top up another device from it in a pinch. Despite the oversized cell, Oppo has kept the phone from turning into a brick. It measures about 163 x 78 x 8.6mm and weighs around 224g.

The camera specs are the clear compromise here. A single 50MP main sensor and a low-resolution mono unit, with no telephoto, is a modest setup for a phone this size. Video that doesn’t go past 1080p doesn’t help either. Oppo is leaning on the battery and a “Breathing Light” notification strip around the camera housing to stand out. It isn’t trying to compete on photography.
Pricing
Pricing varies by market. In Austria, the 6GB/256GB model is listed at €599, about $688. Malaysia and Thailand get an 8GB/256GB variant, priced at MYR 2,299 (about $563) and THB 19,999 (about $600). Those dollar figures are conversions for reference only, not official US pricing — Oppo doesn’t sell phones in the US.
The A7 Pro Max first launched in China back in August; this is its global rollout, not a new device. There’s no confirmation yet of an India launch, though Oppo has a strong presence in that market through its regular A-series lineup.
